Bruno omskriuwt syn wurk as suver en autentyk. Mei syn Dútske roots sil Bruno him grif thús fiele op it Olderburger poadium.

Beppe

Eltse kear as ik by har kom
Dan docht it sa sear
Ik freegje; ‘witte jo wa’t ik bin?’
Se seit ‘ik wit it net mear!’
Ik kin it net begripe, ’t libben duorret sa koart
Dat it úteinlik mei ús allegear, sa einigje moat

Se freget ‘Wolsto tee of kofje, in koekje der by?’
‘Of ha ’k dy dit al frege, of wie ’t net oan dy, wie ’t fantasy?’

De takomst is ûnwis
De moanne blyn
De sinne kâld
As ik har fyn

Se sjocht nei my
Se heart myn stim
Mar wit net mear
Wa at ik bin

Se kin my goed
Mar net foar lang
De tiid fan doe
Makket har bang

Eltse kear as ik by har kom
Dan prate wy altyd
Oer doe’t se noch in famke wie
Ik bin sa bliid dat se ’t noch wit
Mar dan yn ienen, d’r is neat oan ’e hân
Oan’t se úteinlik oan my freget, ‘wêr kin ik dy fan?’

Oeren lang fertel ik har wat ik belibbe haw, se seit ‘oh jong, wat is dat
prachtich’, mar ik wit dat ’k der úteinlik neat oan haw, oh it begruttet my sa!

De takomst is ûnwis
De moanne blyn
De sinne kâld
As ik har fyn

Se sjocht nei my
Se heart myn stim
Mar wit net mear
Wa at ik bin

Se kin my goed
Mar net foar lang
Want se seit

‘Wêr kin ik dy fan’

Grandmother

Every time I go visit her
It fills me with pain
To see her questioning eyes
She can’t remember my name
I cannot understand that life is coming so fast
And while our memories keep on fading, we hope for the best

A cup of tea or coffee, with milk or just black? Or didn’t I just ask you?
I don’t remember what you said, ‘it must have been in my head’?

The future’s undefined
The moon gets blind
The sun so cold
It’s her I find

She looks at me
She hears my voice
But I am not
One of her boys

She knows me well
But not for long
‘Cause it’s the time
That proves her wrong

Every time I go visit her
She takes me back in time
To the little girl she was before
Like it’s a memory of mine
But out of the blue when really nothing seemed wrong
She always comes up with that question, ‘where do I know you from?’

But I just keep on talking even though that it is hard, she says ‘my dear that’s
lovely’, but I know I can go back to the start, and it touches my heart!

Tomorrow stays unknown
The moon is blind
The sun so cold
It’s her I find

She looks at me
She hears my voice
But I am not
One of her boys

She knows me well
But not for long
It’s then she says

‘Where do I know you from’
